The Dignitary Status of a Revolutionary Mentality for the Black Visionary

Author Hood Chronicles is no stranger to diversity, and in this latest work, he takes the reader on a journey of profound philosophical prudence. Assimilating a mass of material on social stratification, genocide, and culture, he attempts to emphasize the crisis of a people and bring awareness for a much-needed awakening in America. In the story "Royal Hearted," Queen Asiya and King Luqman find themselves at odds over the division of their beloved Africa. A plan to unify gone awry, presents an obstacle that can only be overshadowed by the lingering threat of outside forces. Will Africa be able to reunite, or fall under the control of external oppression due to internal strife? In "Skin of Sin," we meet Mutulu who is abducted as a child by European slave raiders. After being forced to watch his family's brutal demise, he finds himself being raised by the very people who have enslaved him! A heart-gripping twist in events play out once the woman of the house meets her new African child. Find out if Mutulu ever attain his freedom again? Two more short stories compliment these tales by ushering forward into the present day. Depicting the Black Power movement and modern day genocide we have "U.N.I.T.Y and Wisdom" as well as "Bang." Hood also explains the origins of the Bloods, Crips, and Gangsta Disciple nation while intertwining their historical connections to ancient African civilizations. The truth about slavery and the plight of black on black violence that we face balance out this must read for all Americans! Admirably objective, and raw as only the author can deliver, The Dignitary Status of a Revolutionary Mentality for the Black Visionary is no less than an intelligent guide for the intelligent mind.

Always on the hunt for a good read and this book was very intriguing. Great book! Can't wait to read more from Hood Chronicles.

I have read almost all of this author's books. I see the vision of this book through the eyes of the author who's goal I believe is to give his view from many angles. As he said keeping it real is in the eyes of the beholder, hence his "to be real in all aspects of reality is an impossible feat to accomplish but being real with oneself, you will find it easier to live amongst others". In my visionary eyes I enjoyed Skin Of Sin and Rest In Peace most.
